chapter II Major goddesses 85 In the DBP, a mantra of the earth is given which is as follows"-
OM, HRIM ŚRĪM KLIM VASUNDHRAYAI SWĀHĀ.
The gayatri of the earth which is popular among the masses
mentions her to be with a bow and as the bestower of all siddhis�7.
The Earth represented in Yantra.
In the tantra the rectangle enclosing the yantra of the
goddesses is known as Bhupura or the earth as a citadel. This
Bhupura may be in the form of a closed structure or having gates on
all the four directions.
This is the first Cakra of the nine charkas of the Śrīcakra
and is known as Trilokyamohana Cakra. At the fringe of this are the
three walled enclosures. They are laid one within the other and are
coloured white, red and yellow respectively. The entire Śrīcakra
including the enclosing circle and the two layers of lotus whorls
enclosing it are laid within it.
Conclusion.
The earth known as Prthivi or Bhū is a major goddess of the
vedic cult. from the Purāṇas we come to know that the received a
