by the author. After giving adequate evidences, it is concluded that the author of Patanjala-yogasutra-bhashya-vivarana might be a Sankara who flourished between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries. In addition, it states that being a work on Yoga, Patanjala-yogasutra-bhashya-vivarana is an important contribution to the study of Yoga.
