Kṣārapāṇi (Āyurveda scholar)
Kṣārapāṇi was one of the six disciples of Punarvasu Āٰⲹ. He composed a treatise known as Kṣārapāṇi ṃh but the original book is not available. Vijay Rakṣita in his Madhukoṣa- quoted the prognosis of Śdzٳ taken from Kṣārapāṇi ṃh. Suśruta quoted the. Features of Balāsa Jvara taken from Kṣārapāṇi ṃh. Vāgbhaṭṭa quoted the name of Kṣārapāṇi while describing Rakta-gulma. Śivadās Sen quoted 辱貹徱-leha for the treatment of Pittaja and Kṣayaja taken from Kṣārapāṇi ṃh. Many other Āⲹ also quoted the name of Kṣārapāṇi ṃh in their texts[1].
