5. The Author and Travancore Dynasty
Prof. K Balarama Panicker got an entry in an Assembly of Scholars, organised by Travancore Royal family after the Temple Entry Proclamation. He was appreciated by many western scholars in that gathering and Chithirathirunal BalaramaVarma also noticed his erudition. From there, a friendly bond started between them. Naturally he may impressed in the personality of the king and he wrote this drama Annadatricarita as a tribute to Chithirathirunal Balaramavarma.
