Story of 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补
General information.
A prominent disciple of 痴测腻蝉补. It is mentioned in Dev墨 Bh膩gavata, Skandha 1, that the main disciples of 痴测腻蝉补 were Asita, Devala, 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补, Sumantu, Jaimini, Paila and some others. (See under 叠丑腻谤补迟补).
Other details.
(i) It was 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补 who told the story of 叠丑腻谤补迟补 composed by 痴测腻蝉补, to King Janamejaya. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补 膧诲颈 Parva, Chapter 1, Stanza 20).
(ii) 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补 told Janamejaya the story of 叠丑腻谤补迟补 at the instruction of 痴测腻蝉补. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补 膧诲颈 Parva, Chapter 60, Verse 22).
(iii) 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补 praised 惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补 and spoke of its greatness. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补 膧诲颈 Parva, Chapter 62, Stanza 12).
(iv) Once 痴补颈艣补尘辫腻测补苍补 was overpowered by ignorance, and he killed a Brahmin. It is mentioned in 惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 础苍耻艣腻蝉补苍补 Parva, Chapter 6, Stanza 36, that in spite of it he attained heaven.
