Story of Raghu
General.
A famous king of the Solar dynasty. The great king 顿颈濒墨辫补 was his father. (For Genealogy, birth etc., see under 顿补艣补谤补迟丑补 and 顿颈濒墨辫补).
Other information.
(i) Raghu also occupies a place in the list of famous kings of ancient days. (膧di Parva, Chapter 1, Verse 232).
(ii) In the fight between the king of 痴颈谤腻峁璦 and the Kauravas (over the lifting of cows) Raghu was present along with Indra to see Arjuna fight. (痴颈谤腻峁璦 Parva, Chapter 56, Verse 10).
(iii) Raghu got from King 驰耻惫补苍腻艣惫补 a sword, which he presented to Hari峁嚹伵泇a. (艢腻苍迟颈 Parva Chapter 166, Verse 78).
(iv) He did not eat flesh. (础苍耻艣腻蝉补苍补 Parva, Chapter 150, Verse 81).
(v) 碍峁迟谤颈测补蝉 who praise Raghu will not be defeated in war. (础苍耻艣腻蝉补苍补 Parva, Chapter 165, Verse 51).
(vi) In the list of kings to be remembered at dawn and at dusk Raghu too is included. (础苍耻艣腻蝉补苍补 Parva, Chapter 165, Verse 51).
