Story of 叠腻峁嘺
A mighty and powerful Asura.
Genealogy and birth.
Descended from 惭补丑腻惫颈峁ａ箛耻 in the following order: 叠谤补丑尘腻-惭补谤墨肠颈-碍补艣测补辫补-贬颈谤补峁噛补办补艣颈辫耻-笔峁沘丑濒腻诲补-Virocana-惭补丑腻产补濒颈-叠腻峁嘺.
Getting a boon.
叠腻峁嘺 began his reign with the city of 艢辞峁噄迟补辫耻谤补 as his capital. Then he went to the vicinity of the 贬颈尘腻濒补测补蝉 and began to do penance thinking of 艢颈惫补. 艢颈惫补 made his appearance and asked him what he wanted. He requested that he should be considered as the son of 笔腻谤惫补迟墨 and that he should be given thousand hands so as to destroy all his enemies. 艢颈惫补 granted him the boon. From that day onwards 笔腻谤惫补迟墨 considered him as the younger brother of 厂耻产谤补丑尘补峁噛补. He returned to his Kingdom and began to reign.

Other information.
(1) In the 笔耻谤腻峁嘺蝉 叠腻峁嚹乻耻谤补 is often called by the name 惭补丑腻办腻濒补, which is the name of an attendant of 艢颈惫补. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 膧di Parva, Chapter 65, Stanza 20).
(2) 艢耻办谤腻肠腻谤测补 (the teacher of the Asuras) always worked for the uplift of 叠腻峁嘺. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 厂补产丑腻 Parva, Chapter 38, Stanza 29).
(3) In the Battle with 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺, 叠腻峁嘺 was helped by 艢颈惫补, 厂耻产谤补丑尘补峁噛补, and the Gods like Agni (fire) and others. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 厂补产丑腻 Parva, Chapter 38).
(4) 艢r墨 碍峁涐梗峁嘺 cut down the thousand hands of 叠腻峁嘺 with his Cakr膩yudha (the wheel weapon). (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 厂补产丑腻 Parva, Chapter 38).
(5) 叠腻峁嘺 often stood under the cover of the mountain of 碍谤补耻帽肠补 and attacked the devas (gods). So once 厂耻产谤补丑尘补峁噛补 had to cut the mountain 碍谤补耻帽肠补 with his arrows. (惭补丑腻产丑腻谤补迟补, 艢补濒测补 Parva, Chapter 46, Stanza 82).
