Descended from վṣṇ thus: վṣṇ--Atri-Candra-Budha-ʳܰū-Āܲ-ṣa-۲پ-ū-Janamejaya-ʰ峦Ա-Namasyu-īٲⲹ-Śṇḍ-Bahuvidha-ṃyپ-鲹DZī-鲹ܻś-ṛṣṭi.
ṛṣṭi is a son born to 鲹ܻś by Ѿśśī, an Apsar woman. (Ѳٲ, Ādi Parva, Chapter 94, Verses 8-12). ṛṣṭi has two synonyms, Ṛceyu and Anvagbhānu.
