Story of 础驳苍墨诲丑谤补

Genealogy.
Descended from 痴颈峁ａ箛耻 thus: 痴颈峁ａ箛耻-叠谤补丑尘腻-惭补谤墨肠颈-碍补艣测补辫补-痴颈惫补蝉惫腻苍-Vaivasvatamanu-Priyavrata-础驳苍墨诲丑谤补.
Birth.
Priyavrata, son of Vaivasvatamanu, married 叠补谤丑颈峁补迟墨, daughter of 痴颈艣惫补办补谤尘腻. 础驳苍墨诲丑谤补 was one of their ten sons. The other nine sons were: Idhmajihv膩, 驰补箩帽补产腻丑耻, 惭补丑腻惫墨谤补, 贬颈谤补峁噛补谤别迟补蝉, Gh峁泃apr峁ａ弓ha, Sava, 惭别诲丑腻迟颈迟丑颈, 痴墨迟颈丑辞迟谤补 and Kavi. A daughter also was born to Priyavrata and 叠补谤丑颈峁补迟墨 named 弄rjjasvat墨. 艢耻办谤补 married her and 顿别惫补测腻苍墨 was their daughter.
Married life.
础驳苍墨诲丑谤补 married a nymph named 笔奴谤惫补肠颈迟迟颈. They had nine children: 狈腻产丑颈, Ki峁僷urusa, Hari, Il膩vrata, Ramyaka, Hira帽caya, Kuru, 叠丑补诲谤腻艣惫补, and 碍别迟耻尘腻濒补. It was from this Kuru that the Kuru 痴补峁兣沘 began.
Other incidents.
(1) 础驳苍墨诲丑谤补 ruled over 闯补尘产耻诲惫墨辫补 for a long time. (Dev墨 叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补, Skandha 8).
(2) While he was the ruler of 闯补尘产耻诲惫墨辫补 础驳苍墨诲丑谤补 once went into a cave and did hard tapas there without eating any food. 叠谤补丑尘腻 then sent a beautiful nymph (础辫蝉补谤腻 maiden) to him to tempt him and thwart his tapas. 础驳苍墨诲丑谤补 fell a victim to the temptation. His penance was shaken by that nymph named Vipracitti. He married her. (叠丑腻驳补惫补迟补, Skandha 5, Chapter 2).
