The ղśmāsaٳⲹ (ղśmāsa-ٳⲹ) has 25 chapters.
ղś is another month which is favourite with վṣṇ. In Padmapurāṇa, Pātāla Khaṇḍa, Ch. 84, as a background of this Māhātmya, we are told that once 岹 went to Mathura to see King īṣa, a great devotee of ṛṣṇa (vv 8-10). ղś-Māhātmya is thus a dialogue between these two.
