एव� परम्पर�-प्राप्तम� इम� राजर्षयो विदु� �
� कालेने� महता योगो नष्ट� परन्तप � � �eva� 貹貹-ٲ ima� rājarṣayo � |
sa kāleneha yogo Բṣṭ� parantapa || 2 ||evam–in this way; 貹貹–by disciplic succession; ٲ–r; imam–t; Ჹ-ṛṣⲹ�–the saintly kings; �ҡԻٴǴǻ; �–t; Բ–by time; iha–in this world; –by the great influence;Dz�–the process for connecting with the Supreme Lord; Բṣṭ�–lDz; parantapa–O conqueror of the foe.
O Arjuna, this yoga was thus received in disciplic succession and the saintly kings understood it through that process, but after a prolonged lapse of time, it almost become lost to the world.
