Medh膩tithi鈥檚 commentary (尘补苍耻产丑腻峁补):
One is not called 鈥�venerable by the fact that his head has turned grey鈥�;鈥�i.e., the hairs of his head have become white. How then?
He who, 鈥�though young鈥欌�攊s of young age鈥攁nd yet carries on his study,鈥攈im 鈥�the gods know鈥欌赌攄别肠濒补谤别鈥斺赌�to be venerable.鈥� The gods know all things, hence this is a praise (of the learned man).鈥�(156)
