The Chaitanya Bhagavata 1.2.191, English translation, including a commentary (Gaudiya-bhasya). This text is similair to the Caitanya-caritamrita and narrates the pastimes of Lord Caitanya, proclaimed to be the direct incarnation of Krishna (as Bhagavan) This is verse 191 of Adi-khanda chapter 2鈥斺�淭he Lord鈥檚 Appearance鈥�.

English translation:
(191) 鈥淭he long-cherished desire of the Ganges will now be fulfilled when You sport in her waters.
Commentary: Gau岣嵞珁a-bh膩峁a by 艢r墨la Bhaktisiddh膩nta Sarasvat墨 峁琱膩kura:
From time immemorial the Ganges has been famous as the nectar emanating from the lotus feet of 碍峁涐梗峁嘺 and sustained on the head of Lord 艢颈惫补, the topmost 痴补颈峁ａ箛补惫补. For the benefit of the world she flowed from 贬补谤颈诲惫腻谤补 to 骋补峁単腻-蝉腻驳补谤补 and thus expanded the service attitude of those who live on her banks. Foolish people could not understand that she is the water touched by Your feet, so 骋补峁単腻诲别惫墨 desired to serve You by being identified in this world as the water touched by Your feet.
Therefore her desires will be fulfilled when You wash Your feet and take bath in her waters.鈥�
