Vedamantra (啶掂啶︵ぎ啶ㄠ啶む啶�) refers to the 鈥淰edic hymns鈥�, according to the 艢ivapur膩峁嘺 2.3.47 (鈥淭he ceremonious entry of 艢iva鈥�).鈥擜ccordingly, as Brahm膩 narrated to N膩rada: 鈥淭hen the chief of mountains caused the investiture rite with the sacred thread for P膩rvat墨 and 艢iva with the Vedic hymns (vedamantra) recited enthusiastically. Then Vi峁ａ箛u, the other gods and the sages entered the inner apartments of the palace of the mountain enthusiastically at the request of Him膩cala. After performing the conventional rites in accordance with the Vedic injunctions and the social customs they decorated P膩rvat墨 with the ornaments provided by 艢iva. [...]鈥�.
