1) To approach, come near, arrive at, reach (a place, person &c.); परमं साम्यमुपैत� (parama� sāmyamupaiti) Muṇḍ. Up.3.1.3. लतामुपेत्य (峾ܱٲⲹ) Ś.1; so राजानम�, दुर्गम� (rājānam, durgam) &c. योगी पर� स्थानमुपैत� चाद्यम� (yogī para� sthānamupaiti cādyam) Bhagavadgītā (Bombay) 8.28,1.15,9.28.
2) To go to (a master), become a pupil. उपेत्य पप्रच्� (upetya papraccha) Praśna. Up.1.2; 6.1.
