: Journal of the University of Bombay Volume V: Apabhramsa metres (2)±«»å²µÄ«³Ù²¹°ì²¹ (उदà¥à¤—ीतक) is the name of a ²¹²Ô³Ù²¹°ù²¹²õ²¹³¾²¹-³¦²¹³Ù³Üá¹£p²¹»å¾± metre (also known as Ardhasama), as discussed in books such as the ChandonuÅ›Äsana, Kavidarpaṇa, Vá¹›ttajÄtisamuccaya and SvayambhÅ«chandas.—±«»å²µÄ«³Ù²¹°ì²� is a Sarvasama-catuá¹£padi in respect of the ³¾Äå³Ù°ùÄå²õ, but an Antarasama in point of the MÄtrÄgaṇas.

Chandas (छनà¥à¤¦à¤¸à¥) refers to Sanskrit prosody and represents one of the six Vedangas (auxiliary disciplines belonging to the study of the Vedas).
