: Shodhganga: a concise history of Sanskrit Chanda literature (history)S膩va峁嘺durga (啶膏ぞ啶掂ぃ啶︵啶班啶�) or 艢ivaga峁単膩 is the name of a village in Kar峁嚹佱弓aka to which 笔耻峁囜笉补谤墨办补惫颈峁弓丑补濒补 (16th century) was a native. 笔耻峁囜笉补谤墨办补惫颈峁弓丑补濒补 is a well known scholar in music as well as in Dharma艣膩stra, Ala峁卥膩ra艣膩stra and chandas. His erudite scholarship has touched the height of excellence, which can be judged only from his compositions. He belonged to J膩madagnya-gotra and was the son of Dharma and N膩g膩, native of S膩va峁嘺durga (艢ivaga峁単膩) in Kar峁嚹佱弓aka; migrated to north India. He was patronized by Burh膩nkh膩n of 膧nandavall墨, King Bhagavantad膩sa and his son M膩dhavasi峁僪a and M膩nasi峁僪a.
