Sasuta (ससुत) refers to �(traveling) with one’s sons�, according to the Śivapurṇa 2.3.23 (“Attempt of Himavat to dissuade Prvatī�).—Accordingly, as Brahm narrated to Nrada: “O excellent sage, while Prvatī was engaged in penance thus for attaining Śiva, a long time elapsed but Śiva did not appear. Then Himavat came there along with his wife , sons [i.e., sasuta] and ministers and spoke to Prvatī, who had resolved to continue her penance�.
