: academia.edu: The Structure and Meanings of the Heruka Ma峁囜笉ala搁奴辫补惫补箩谤墨 (啶班啶さ啶溹啶班) or R奴pavajr膩 is the name of a 岣屇乲in墨 who, together with the V墨ra (hero) named R奴pavajra forms one of the 36 pairs situated in the 贬峁沝补测补肠补办谤补, according to the 10th century 岣屇乲腻谤峁嘺惫补 chapter 15. Accordingly, the 丑峁沝补测补肠补办谤补 refers to one of the four divisions of the 蝉补丑补箩补-辫耻峁璦 (鈥榠nnate layer鈥�), situated within the padma (lotus) in the middle of the 贬别谤耻办补尘补峁囜笉补濒补. The 36 pairs of 岣屇乲in墨s [viz., 搁奴辫补惫补箩谤墨] and V墨ras are reddish yellow in color; they each have one face and four arms; they hold a skull bowl, a skull staff, a small drum, and a knife.
