Source: Wisdom Library: Tibetan Buddhist Teachers, Deities and other Spiritual beingsPadmakula (啶う啷嵿ぎ啶曕啶�) refers to one of the 鈥渇ive Buddha families鈥� (Sanskrit: 笔补帽肠补办耻濒补; Tibetan: rigs lnga) and forms part of the 鈥�Forty-two Peaceful Deities鈥� (Tibetan: zhi ba'i lha zhe gnyis) according to various sources such as the Guhyagarbha Tantra and the Tibetan Book of the Dead.鈥擯admakula is known in Tibetan as pad ma'i rigs and is associated with Amit膩bha and his consort Pa峁囜笉arav膩sin墨.
Tibetan Buddhism includes schools such as Nyingma, Kadampa, Kagyu and Gelug. Their primary canon of literature is divided in two broad categories: The Kangyur, which consists of Buddha鈥檚 words, and the Tengyur, which includes commentaries from various sources. Esotericism and tantra techniques (惫补箩谤补测腻苍补) are collected indepently.
