Source: Wisdom Library: Maha Prajnaparamita Sastraǻṃjñ (निरोधसंज्ञ�) refers to the “concept of cessation� and represents one of the “ten concepts� (ṃjñ), according to the 2nd century Mahāprajñāpāramitāśāstra chapter 37. Accordingly, “the concepts of renunciation (prahāṇaṃjñ), detachment (virāgaṃjñ) and cessation (nirodhaṃjñ) have the characteristics (nimitta) of Nirvāṇa as object. [...] When he [the Yogin] enters into Nirvāṇa, he suppresses the five aggregates of attachment (貹ñDZԲ첹Ի) that will be continued no longer: that is the notion of cessation (nirodhaṃjñ)�.

Mahayana (महायान, mahāyāna) is a major branch of Buddhism focusing on the path of a Bodhisattva (spiritual aspirants/ enlightened beings). Extant literature is vast and primarely composed in the Sanskrit language. There are many ūٰ of which some of the earliest are the various Prajñāpāramitā ūٰ.
