1) 徱 refers to a medicinal recipe mentioned in the Kaṣāyakhaṇḍa (verse 1.43) of the 15th-century Yogasārasaṅgraha (Yogasara-saṅgraha) by Vāsudeva: an unpublished Keralite work representing an Ayurvedic compendium of medicinal recipes. The Kaṣāyakhaṇḍa [mentioning Ծ徱] deals with decoctions (첹ṣҲ) and gruels (peyas) administered to patients suffering from a variety of conditions (viz., alcoholism, vomiting, syncope, burning sensations, etc.).

2) 徱 is also mentioned in the Tailakhaṇḍa (verse 3.168). The Tailakhaṇḍa [mentioning Ծ徱] contains recipes and medicated oils (taila) that treat the patients on such conditions as fever, dyspnoea, cough, asthma, etc.

徱 (निम्बादि) or 徱pācana refers to one of the topics discussed in the ۴Dz峾ṛt, a Sanskrit manuscript collected in volume 4 of the catalogue “Notices of Sanskrit Manuscripts (first series)� by Rajendralal Mitra (1822�1891), who was one of the first English-writing historians dealing with Indian culture and heritage.—The ۴Dz峾ṛt is a large Ayurvedic compilation dealing with the practice of medicine and therapeutics authored by Gopāla Sena, Kavirāja, of Dvārandhā. It is dated to the 18th century and contains 11,700 śǰ첹.—The catalogue includes the term—�-pācana in its ‘subject-matter list� or Viṣaya (which lists topics, chapters and technical terms). The complete entry reads: Ծ徱pācana� .
