: academia.edu: The Structure and Meanings of the Heruka Ma峁囜笉ala惭濒别肠肠丑墨 (啶啶侧啶氞啶涏) or Mlecchau岣嵞� is the name of a 岣屇乲in墨 who, together with the V墨ra (hero) named Mleccha [or Mlecchau岣峚] forms one of the 36 pairs situated in the 骋耻峁嘺肠补办谤补, according to the 10th century 岣屇乲腻谤峁嘺惫补 chapter 15. Accordingly, the 驳耻峁嘺肠补办谤补 refers to one of the four divisions of the 蝉补丑补箩补-辫耻峁璦 (鈥榠nnate layer鈥�), situated within the padma (lotus) in the middle of the 贬别谤耻办补尘补峁囜笉补濒补. The 36 pairs of 岣屇乲in墨s [viz., 惭濒别肠肠丑墨] and V墨ras are whitish red in color; they each have one face and four arms; they hold a skull bowl, a skull staff, a small drum, and a knife.
Note: In Jayasena鈥檚 Ratnapadmar膩ganidhi, she, 惭濒别肠肠丑墨 alias O岣峣n墨, is also called Mlecche岣嵞� (D 1516, 26 v 7) In Ratnasena鈥檚 Ma峁囜笉al膩rcanavidhi, 惭濒别肠肠丑墨 and O岣峣n墨 are two different goddesses (Skt ms. NGMPP B 24/52, 12 v 1 and 12 v 2)
