: archive.org: Ceylon Branch of the Royal Asiatic Society 1963M膩峁璷mbuva is the name of an ancient locality that existed since the ancient kingdom of 础苍耻谤腻诲丑补辫耻谤补, Ceylon (Sri Lanka).鈥擳he construction of Maha峁璷mbuva or M膩峁璷mbu tank is ascribed to Je峁弓hatissa I (263-275) and to Aggabodhi II (604-614). Aggabodhi IV (667-683) built the M膩峁璦mbiya Practising House. The names Maha峁璷mbuva, M膩峁璷mbu and M膩峁璦mbiya appear to be preserved in modern M膩峁璷mbuva Korale and Tul膩na. To the Practising House were assigned:鈥�(i) Ambav膩pi at B奴kakalla; (ii) Tantav膩yikac膩峁璱ka village; and (iii) Ni峁弓hilave峁弓hi village.
