Ѳṛṇ (मसृणता, “smoothness�) is one of the four qualities of diction, according to Soḍḍhala (author of the Udayasundarīkathā). Ѳṛṇ is defined as “the use of words free from confusion�. The four qualities should be used by a poet to make use of in his diction.
