Pancaratra (worship of Nārāyaṇa)
: archive.org: Catalogue of Pancaratra Agama Textsҳṭaī貹 (घटदी�) refers to a “pot containing a flame�, as discussed in chapter 15 of the 첹ṇḍⲹṃh: a Pāñcarātra text comprising some 2200 Sanskrit verses mainly dealing with temple-building, iconography, ū (worship procedures), utsava (festivities) and ⲹśٳٲ (expiatory measures).—Description of chapter [ԾٲԲ]: Routine worship in the temple, properly attended to, has immense rewards (1-3). [...] Then clothes, ornaments and other decorations are offered to God (31), whereupon a ten-flamed light [ī貹] is offered, followed by fragrant smoke, then sandal-paste and flowers. A pot containing a flame [ghaṭaī貹] is waved three times before the idol (and then taken away by a courtesan), whereupon verses of praise are chanted by the people, and dancers perform for His entertainment [...].
