: What is India: Inscriptions of the 艢il膩h膩rasGa峁囜笉aradeva is the name of a king mentioned in the 鈥淭膩lale plates of Ga峁囜笉ar膩ditya 鈥�. Accordingly, 鈥淭hat Ga峁囜笉aradeva, the lord of the ma峁囜笉ala, is shining on the earth鈥攂eing surprised by the marvellous and fierce stroke of whose sword, king Da峁囜笉abrahman, the lord of the Ku峁囜笉i country, went to the abode of gods (i.e. died), leaving here his extremely lovely kingdom and matchless fortune acquired by his arm鈥�.
These copper plates (mentioning Ga峁囜笉aradeva) were discovered by Ramchandrarao Appaji while he was digging in a field at T膩lale in the Kolh膩pur District. It is dated Tuesday, the tenth tithi of the bright fortnight of M膩gha in the expired year 1032 (艢aka), the cyclic year being Virodhin. It records the grants made by Ga峁囜笉ar膩ditya.
