1) ٳ� (धुट्).—The augment ध् (dh) prefixed to the consonant स् (s) following upon the consonant ड् () or न् (n) occurring at the end of a word; e.g. श्वलिट्त्साय�, महान्त्साय� (śṭt, Գٲ) etc.; cf. P. VIII.3.29;

2) ٳ�.—Technical short term for धातु (ٳ) (root); the technical term is धुष् (), but the nom. sing. used is धुट् ();

3) ٳ�.—A technical term standing for consonants excepting semi-vowels and nasals; cf. धुटश्च धुटि (ṭaśca ṭi) Kat. III.6.51. The term is used in the Katantra Vyakarana. It corresponds to the term झर� (jhar) of Panini.
