: archive.org: Syainika Sastra of Rudradeva with English Translation (art)ٳ貹 (धर्मापवर्ग) refers to “virtue and liberation�, according to the ŚⲹԾ첹-śٰ: a Sanskrit treatise dealing with the divisions and benefits of Hunting and Hawking, written by Rājā Rudradeva (or Candradeva) in possibly the 13th century.—Accordingly, “[...] It has been said that there are eighteen addictions. These are the outcome of the desire for earthly enjovments. [...] Vocal music consists of songs by charming voices sung with time and tune in harmony accompanied by dances. Experts only appreciate it. [...] Bharata, Yājñavalkya, Nārada and others speak of the attainment of virtue and liberation (貹), by vocal music. If an expert songster fails to attain the highest bliss by his songs, he at least becomes a follower of Rudra and enjoys delight in his company�.
