: Pali Kanon: Pali Proper Names1. Dathanaga Thera - Resident of the Sumangalaparivena of the Mahavihara. At his request Buddhaghosa wrote the Sumangalavilasini. DA.ii.780 (Hewavitame Bequest Series).
2. Dathanaga Thera - A forest dwelling monk in the time of Mahinda IV. The king made use of his services in recitals of the Abhidhamma. Cv.liv.36.
