Source: Wisdom Library: Maha Prajnaparamita Sastraٲṣiṇa貹ś (दक्षिणपश्चिम�, “south-east�) represents one of the “four intermediate directions� (徱ś in Sanskrit, 徱 in Pali), itself part of the “ten directions� (徱ś in Sanskrit or 徱 in Pali) according to an appendix included in the 2nd century Mahprajñpramitśstra (chapter XIV). ٲṣiṇa貹ś is a Sanskrit word which is known in Pali as 岹ṇa貹, in Tibetan as lho-nub and in Chinese as si-nan.
