: WorldCat: Rāj nighaṇṭuԲԲ貹ٰ (छिन्नपत्रा) is another name for ṣṭ, an unidentified medicinal plant, according to verse 4.77-79 of the 13th-century Raj Nighantu or Rājanighaṇṭu. The fourth chapter (ś徱-) of this book enumerates eighty varieties of small plants (ṛt-ṣu貹). ṣṭ is a highly controversial plant. Vaidyas use different plants at different places for this. The reason is the confused description of the drug by various authors. Together with the names ԲԲ貹ٰ and ṣṭ, there are a total of sixteen Sanskrit synonyms identified for this plant.
