The name is derived from the words ٳ貹Բ, referring to “enema�, and upaga, translating to “belonging to�. It is a technical term used throughout Āyurveda. Examples of plants pertaining to this category include Trivrit (Convolvulus turpethum), Pippalī (Piper longum), Mustard, Vaca (Acorus calamus), Madanaphala (Randia dumetorum).
