Kavya (poetry)
: Shodhganga: M膩lat墨m膩dhava of Bhavabh奴ti膧濒别办丑测补 (啶嗋げ啷囙啷嵿く) refers to the 鈥渁rt of portraying picture鈥� and seems to be very popular during Bhavabh奴ti鈥檚 time. In the M膩lat墨m膩dhava, Bhavabh奴ti has used the words such as citraphalaka , 肠颈迟谤补惫补谤迟颈办腻 and 腻濒颈办丑测补 to imply painting. Ladies were also expert in the art of painting as it was found that M膩lat墨 had drawn the portrait of M膩dhava. M膩dhava also drew the portrait of M膩lat墨. There is a reference of 蝉补峁僩墨迟补艣腻濒腻 i.e. music hall in the 2nd act of the M膩lat墨m膩dhava from which it can be known that people also practised the art of music. In the same act the reference of the art called 苍峁泃测补 was also found. The people had the knowledge of making garland too. In the 1st act it was known that M膩dhava had woven a garland of flowers with skillful arrangement. Thus, People of 8th century A.D. were well-versed in various fine arts like painting, music, dancing and garland making.
